Refund and Rectification Policy
This policy outlines the procedures for payment adjustments and the correction of defects related to construction projects managed by KO Construction.
1. Payment Refund and Adjustment Policy
Since KO Construction does not process online sales or accept full online payments for services:
-
Advance Payment (Booking Fee) Refund:
-
Advance payments (booking fees) made to initiate design or planning work are generally non-refundable. This fee covers initial costs incurred by KO Construction, such as site analysis, preliminary architectural drawings, and consultation time.
-
If the client chooses to terminate the project before any design work has been started or plan approval documentation has been submitted, a partial refund of the advance payment may be considered, subject to administrative costs.
-
-
Project Milestone Payment Adjustment:
-
Project payments are tied to specific, verifiable project milestones (e.g., foundation completion, slab pouring, brickwork completion).
-
Payments are not refundable once the corresponding milestone is completed and verified by the client.
-
If a client terminates a contract mid-project, a detailed Statement of Account will be prepared. Any potential refund will be calculated as the difference between the total payments made and the cost of the work completed plus procurement, labor, and administrative charges incurred up to the date of termination.
-
2. Defect Rectification (Warranty & Service Policy)
This section addresses issues with the completed project, acting as the “return” or guarantee on workmanship.
-
Workmanship and Material Defects:
-
KO Construction guarantees the quality of its workmanship and the materials specified in the contract.
-
Any defects in workmanship or materials noted during the construction process will be rectified immediately at no additional cost before the next payment milestone is certified.
-
-
Post-Handover Warranty Period:
-
We provide a standard 10-Year Structural Warranty on the primary structural elements (foundation, columns, beams, and slabs).
-
We provide a 1-Year Workmanship Warranty from the date of handover for any non-structural defects arising due to poor workmanship (e.g., minor seepage, paint bubbling, minor plumbing leaks).
-
-
Exclusions from Rectification/Warranty:
-
Rectification does not cover damage caused by the client’s misuse, neglect, third-party alterations, natural wear and tear, or natural disasters (Acts of God).
-
3. Claim Procedure
To raise an issue regarding payment or defects:
-
Notification: The client must notify KO Construction in writing (email to info@koconstruction.co.in is acceptable) outlining the specific issue, including photographic evidence if applicable.
-
Assessment: KO Construction will schedule a site visit within 7 working days to assess the claim and determine its validity under the contract and warranty terms.
-
Resolution: If the claim is valid, KO Construction will initiate the necessary rectification or provide a detailed plan for payment adjustment within a reasonable, agreed-upon timeframe.
